Jack Burns has been charged with
aggravated assault and
robbery with a weapon for trying to rob a McDonald’s cashier with a broken beer bottle at the drive-thru. The 33-year-old
Dunedin man was
arrested after threatening to hurt himself with a piece of the bottle before sheriff’s deputies calmed the situation.
According to TBO.com Burns drove up to the McDonald’s cashier and
asked for change for a dollar. When the register opened he threatened
the employee with the broken bottle demanding money. The McDonald’s
employee backed away and Burns allegedly took the cash drawer and drove
off in a white Ford Explorer.
