An Apopka police officer who allegedly
fired a gun at her husband of less than a month has been charged with
aggravated battery with a
deadly weapon.
This is not the first arrest for the veteran police officer. According
to the Orlando Sentinel Culver was arrested in 2007 for a Lake Mary DUI and
battery on a law enforcement official charge. Those charges were reduced to
disorderly conduct.
Culver is on unpaid leave from the police department. She posted $10,000 bail and has left the
Seminole County Jail. This is her third marriage and she has been ordered to have no contact with her current husband following the
battery. Culver had apparently been drinking heavily the night of the shooting and then swallowed p
rescription pills before driving away from the house according to the Orlando newspaper. No charges were filed for
drunk driving.
