Polk County Sheriffs Think Lottery Winner May Be A Murder Victim

Abraham Shakespeare was living with his mother and working as a truck driver’s assistant in 2006 that was before he won $30 million in the Florida lottery. Shakespeare vanished months ago and now Polk County sheriff’s officials are working the case as if it is a homicide. The sheriff’s have released the name of a woman who they labeled a “person of interest” in the case according to a story on the Sarasota Herald Tribune’s website

Shakespeare’s mother is hoping the 43-year-old is living on the beach somewhere in the Caribbean and not a murder victim. Shakespeare had numerous problems since taking a $16.9 million lump sum payment from the lottery including lawsuits and numerous people asking him for money. The possibility exists he disappeared to get away from all of that but in Lakeland, Florida authorities say there is too many bizarre circumstances to dismiss the possibility of a crime.
